A SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING SMART FARMING IN AN AGRICULTURAL LAND

Applicant – Sharda University

Patent Application No.  – 201911028286

Abstract – “The present disclosure provides system and method for providing smart farming in an agricultural land. The system includes: water pump; sensing unit; and control unit operatively coupled to water pump and sensing unit, and having processors and memory. The sensing unit includes sensors to sense, in real-time, set of parameters such as temperature, humidity, moisture, soil fertility, soil quality, air quality, rainfall, dust particles and atmospheric gases. The control unit configured to: determine a set of values corresponding to the sensed set of parameters respectively; compare any of the determined set of values of a parameter with a predefined statistical value of the corresponding parameter such that predefined statistical values of the set of parameters stored in a database; predict fertilizer and amount of predicted fertilizer to be used based on comparison of the determined set of values with the corresponding predefined statistical values; and control water pump.”(This abstract has been provided as is and has not been corrected for errors.)

SMART ROTARY SWITCHES FOR GAS STOVES

Applicant – S KUMAR REDDY MALLIDI

Patent Application No. – 201941030462

Abstract – Smart Rotary Switch for Gas Stoves is an embodiment of an innovative idea for helping people in their cooking. This smart rotary switch will make an ordinary gas stove into a smart cooking appliance. This Smart Rotary Switch will be connected to a designated Wi-Fi network and comes accompanied by a mobile application. Once this smart switch was installed on a gas stove, the users can relax and concentrate on other works and the App will allow the user to control the flame levels of the burner from anywhere in the house. The switch also comes with an accessory part, an extension for real-time monitoring of the temperature of the food while cooking. Hence the user can monitor the temperature from anywhere in the house. The switch also provides a timer, once the timer was set, the device will automatically switch off the stove. The device and mobile application also come with pre-loaded menus which will make this device smarter. Once a menu was selected, the device will automatically monitor the temperature using the temperature sensing accessory and makes the entire cooking process semi-automatic with very minimal user interaction. An unfamiliar user can still use the gas stove in manual mode as the smart rotary switch will not eliminate the manual switch, it will be placed just in between the manual switch and the stove.
