Summary
The Indian Trademark Office recorded a noticeable reduction in its work pace last week, as seen in the official journal. The number of hearing notices and renewal notices issued decreased by sixty percent and sixty three percent, respectively. Despite these declines, there was a twelve percent increase in the total number of trademark registrations granted. Detailed statistics are provided for each office jurisdiction and for the year-to-date figures. This weekly update is part of a pro bono initiative by BananaIP Counsels to promote trademark awareness.
These statistics have been compiled from the official journal of the trademark office published weekly on Mondays.
INDIAN TRADEMARK STATISTICS
Last week, the Indian Trademark Office has had a decrease in its work pace. The total number of hearing notices issued has decreased by sixty percent (60%). Similarly, the total renewals notices issued has decreased by sixty three percent (63%). However, there has been an increase of twelve percent (12%) in the total registrations granted.
