Summary

BananaIP Counsels is recruiting for a Digital Engagement and Website Management Specialist position at its Bangalore office. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and updating the BananaIP website and social media platforms, supporting the Intellectual Property Management System, and ensuring accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. Technical expertise in WordPress, web development languages, SEO, and digital outreach is required. A minimum of one year’s experience in WordPress website creation and management is mandatory. BananaIP Counsels is actively seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Digital Engagement and Website Management Specialist. This full-time position is based in our Bangalore office, with the stipulation that remote work is not an option.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following primary responsibilities:

  • Development, Maintenance and updates to the BananaIP website, including portals and social media platforms.
  • Support for the Intellectual Property Management System.
  • Providing accessibility assistance and support.
  • Formatting and processing various documents.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and subsequent updates for websites, systems, and documentation.
  • Execution of additional tasks as delegated by the firm.

Experience Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in WordPress website creation and management.

Technical Qualifications

The technical qualifications required for this position are:

  • Proficient in the use of WordPress Content Management System (CMS) and its core functionalities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Skilled in HTML, PHP, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with MySQL or similar database systems.
  • Expertise in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), website performance optimization (including enhancing page load times) and implementing security protocols.
  • Adept in digital and social media outreach and engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards, specifically the WCAG 2.1 guidelines and beyond.
