Indian Patent Statistics
A total of 732 patent applications have been published in the 34th issue of the Patent Journal, 2019. Out of the 732 applications published in the journal, 98 applications account for early publications while 643 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 – month period. A total of 535 applications have been granted last week as compared to 302 grants in the week preceding the last thereby marking an increase of about 77.15%.

The total applications from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows – 17 applications from Chennai, 29 applications from Bangalore, 42 applications from Delhi, 11 applications from Hyderabad, 28 applications from Mumbai and 9 application from Kolkata.
