Summary
The Premier Technology Institute sought expert guidance to address disorganisation in its intellectual property management despite having numerous inventions. After a comprehensive review of more than thirty departments, the existing IP policy was analysed, revealing significant shortcomings. Recommendations were provided to revise the policy and establish a dedicated technology transfer and licensing office. The institute implemented these changes, leading to improved patent filings and the successful launch of a technology transfer programme. These measures also resolved multiple issues faced by faculty members regarding the IP process.
