An international conference on “Challenges and Opportunities for Developing Sustainable RUBAN Society” was organised by the Dayananda Sagar Business Academy in Bangalore on 13 February 2015. Sanjeeth Hegde delivered a lecture at the conference on how rural communities can leverage intellectual property rights for development.
Hegde also moderated a panel discussion on the theme of “Corporate Social Responsibility in Developing Sustainable Ruban Society”, drawing on contributions from panellists representing academia, the corporate sector, and social enterprises.
The conference addressed the intersection of intellectual property, rural development, and responsible business practice — a field that has gained increasing attention as policymakers seek to use IP frameworks to support the economic growth of underserved communities.
