Vinita Radhakrishnan heads the pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and chemistry Patent practice at BananaIP Counsels. She specialises in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and traditional medicine with extensive experience supporting startups, women innovators, and research-based pharmaceutical companies.
Biography
With a unique combination of health sciences and Intellectual Property law expertise, Vinita brings deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries to her Patent practice.
She served as in-house Patent counsel at a research-based pharmaceutical company before joining BananaIP, giving her practical insight into corporate IP needs and strategy.
As a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition, she focused on pharmaceutical innovation and Patent law in developing countries, contributing to academic discourse in the field.
Vinita is co-author of a well-regarded Patent law book published by Oxford University Press. She advises grassroots innovators, entrepreneurs, independent inventors, venture capitalists, and investors on IP due diligence.
