These statistics have been compiled from the official journal of the trademark office published weekly on Mondays. INDIAN TRADEMARK STATISTICS Last week, the Indian Trademark Office have had an increase in its work pace. The total number of hearing notices issued has increased by seventy four percent (74%). Similarly, the total renewals notices issued has increased by one hundred and nine percent (109%). Nine months after the Central government first notified the draft Patents (Amendment) Rules, 2018 on the 4th of December 2018, the Patents (Amendment) Rules, 2019 have now come into effect through a notification by the Central Government on the 18th of September 2019 in its official gazette.
