This week’s Patent and Design data has been compiled from the Official journal of patents and designs, published by the patent office on the 23rd of September 2022. INDIAN PATENT STATISTICS<\/h2>\n

A total of 1601 patent applications have been published in the 38th issue of the Patent Journal, 2022. Out of the 1601 applications published in the journal, 437 applications account for early publications while 1164 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 \u2013 month period. A total of 620 applications have been granted this week as compared to 598 grants in the week preceding thereby marking a decrease of about 3.67%.<\/p>\n

Number of Applications published based on \u2018Applicant City\u2019<\/h3>\n

Of the total 1601 patent applications published in the journal this week, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata have contributed a total of 372 applications. The total applications from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows \u2013 119 applications from Delhi, 46 applications from Mumbai, 27 applications from Pune, 44 applications from Bangalore, 63 applications from Chennai, 48 applications from Hyderabad and 25 applications for Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\t\n\n\t\n\t
