This week\u2019s Patent & Design data has been compiled from the Official Journal of the Patents and Designs Office published by the patent office on the 10th<\/sup> of January 2020.<\/p>\n

Indian Patent Statistics<\/span><\/h2>\n

A total of 873 patent applications have been published in the 2nd<\/sup> issue of the Patent Journal, 2020. Out of the 873 applications published in the journal, 133 applications account for early publications while 740 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 \u2013 month period. A total of 348 applications have been granted last week as compared to 837 grants in the week preceding the last thereby marking a decrease of about 58.42%<\/p>\n

The total applications from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows \u2013 31 applications from Delhi, 39 applications from Mumbai, 13 applications from Bangalore, 20 applications from Chennai, 15 applications from Hyderabad and 3 applications from Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
