This week\u2019s Patent & Design data has been compiled from the Official Journal of the Patents and Designs Office published by the patent office on the 3rd<\/sup> of January 2020.<\/p>\n

Indian Patent Statistics<\/span><\/h2>\n

A total of 1472 patent applications have been published in the 1st<\/sup> issue of the Patent Journal, 2020. Out of the 1472 applications published in the journal, 274 applications account for early publications while 1198 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 \u2013 month period. Also, a total of 837 applications have been granted last week.<\/p>\n

The total applications from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows \u2013 67 applications from Delhi, 112 applications from Mumbai, 35 applications from Bangalore, 87 applications from Chennai, 15 applications from Hyderabad and 7 applications from Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
