The Patent and Design Statistics illustrated below have been compiled from the Official Journal of the Patents and Designs Office published by the patent office on Fridays, every week. INDIAN PATENT STATISTICS<\/span><\/h1>\n

A total of 1177 patent applications have been published in the 45th<\/sup> issue of the Patent Journal, 2019. Out of the 1177 applications published in the journal, 63 applications account for early publications while 1114 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 \u2013 month period. A total of 557 applications have been granted last week as compared to 359 grants in the week preceding the last thereby marking a decrease of about 55.15%.<\/span><\/p>\n

Of the total 1177 patent applications published in the journal last week, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata have contributed a total of 104 applications.
