These statistics have been compiled from the official journal of the patents and designs office published weekly on Fridays. These statistics are presented to you by the Patent attorneys and experts of BananaIP Counsels, India\u2019s leading Patent Firm.<\/p>\n

Indian Patent Statistics<\/h2>\n

A total of 732 patent applications have been published in the 34th<\/sup> issue of the Patent Journal, 2019. Out of the 732 applications published in the journal, 98 applications account for early publications while 643 applications account for ordinary publications or publications occurring after the 18 \u2013 month period. A total of 535 applications have been granted last week as compared to 302 grants in the week preceding the last thereby marking an increase of about 77.15%.

\nOf the total 732 patent applications published in the journal last week, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata have contributed a total of 136 applications. The total applications from each of the previously mentioned cities are as follows \u2013 17 applications from Chennai, 29 applications from Bangalore, 42 applications from Delhi, 11 applications from Hyderabad, 28 applications from Mumbai and 9 application from Kolkata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Indian Industrial Design Statistics<\/h2>\n

The designs office has registered a total of 227 designs this week. The total designs registered from the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0of January 2019 till date now adds to a total of\u00a010221 applications.<\/p>\n
