FMC in its submission had contended that one of its patents containing \u201cChlorantraniliprole\u201d as the active ingredient was used without authorization by two companies. The Conference was held at the WIPO headquarters, in Geneva, to mark the 100<sup>th<\/sup> year of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. In June 2018, the Government of Azerbaijan had signed an MoU with WIPO in order to advance the IP system and increase cooperation. The Foreign Ministry announced that their primary focus is to now frame laws that strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights in the country. President, David Granger also stated that safeguarding IP rights would be his principal agenda.
