The Art Collector, Dilip De, has secured copyright protection for his paintings created on smartphones. Dilip De, who calls himself a phablet artist, is known for his paintings using smartphones and stylus. De says he infuses traditional techniques with technology to unlock artistic creativity.<\/p>\n

1655 websites blocked over copyright infringement in China<\/h3>\n
China\u2019s copyright administrators have blocked 1655 websites for infringing copyrights and deleted 274,800 links to infringing content says a report issued by the National Copyright Administration. This was part of a campaign initiated by the Cyberspace Administration of China for building a better online environment for copyright owners.<\/p>\n
CBS sues photographer for posting screenshots of 59 year old TV show on Social Media<\/h3>\n
CBS Broadcasting has filed a lawsuit against photographer, Jon Tannen, over his use of screenshots from the TV series Gunsmoke on his social media accounts.\u00a0 It is learned that the action is in response to Tannen\u2019s lawsuit against CBS over unauthorized usage of his images. Posting screenshots of TV shows is an extremely common practice and are widely considered to be a fair use under most circumstances.<\/p>\n

Indian production and distribution giant Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with Google for its chat application Google Allo where YRF will be making available their film content on the application by way of GIFs etc. GIFs included are from iconic films such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, ‘Dhoom’, ‘Mohabbatein’ etc. The users can use these GIFs by tapping the GIF icon above the chat bar on the application.<\/p>\n
