{"id":21159,"date":"2015-03-02T15:41:39","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T10:11:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/one\/sinapse\/?p=21159"},"modified":"2025-05-30T15:15:30","modified_gmt":"2025-05-30T09:45:30","slug":"inpass-indian-patent-full-text-search-tool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bananaip.com\/intellepedia\/inpass-indian-patent-full-text-search-tool\/","title":{"rendered":"InPASS: New Patent Full-Text Search Tool from IPO"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CGPDTM (<strong>Controller General of Patents Designs and Trade Marks)\u00a0<\/strong>has been instrumental in stepping up the efforts of the IPO in making more patent information available online, with the\u00a0introduction of a<strong> new search tool <\/strong>named<strong> InPASS (<a href=\"http:\/\/ipindiaservices.gov.in\/publicsearch\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><b><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: small;\">In<\/span><\/b><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">dian <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">P<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">atent <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">A<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">dvanced <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">S<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">earch <\/span><b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">S<\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size: small;\">ystem<\/span><\/span><\/a>), <\/strong>in\u00a0February, 2015.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Indian Patent Office is showing its\u00a0commitment to providing transparency to the public about patents. In 2010, the CGPDTM office launched <strong>IPAIRS, Indian Patent Information Retrieval System<\/strong>. Subsequently, the CGPDTM has constantly been improving IPAIRS, offering new search fields such as Applicant Address and PCT Number in 2012, and\u00a0introduced Stock and Flow Based Dynamic Patent Utility in 2014 to enable access to real time patent information.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In\u00a0February, 2015,\u00a0<strong>CGPDTM introduced InPASS,\u00a0a new search tool<\/strong>. InPASS allows full-text search to be conducted for patents as well as patent applications, allowing for search using wild-cards, truncation and Boolean operators.
