BananaIP is currently hiring for the position of Intellectual Property (IP) Associate, seeking candidates with an LLM in Intellectual Property or an LLB and 2 to 3 years of relevant work experience. The selected associate will work within the Patent and IP Research, Analysis and Advisory Division, handling projects such as legal opinions, research reports, and contract drafting. Candidates are expected to demonstrate expertise in patent law, contract law, and technology law, as well as strong communication and online collaboration skills. The recruitment process includes written tests, an interview, and an HR discussion. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience and those with disabilities.

Job Description
Department: Intellectual Property Research, Analysis and Advisory
Job description: As a part of the Patent / IP Research, Analysis and Advisory Division of BananaIP Counsels, the Associate will work on a variety of projects ranging from Patent / IP research reports and legal opinions to Contract / Agreement review and drafting.
The associate is expected to carry with her/him knowledge, expertise and experience in different aspects of Patent Law, IP law, technology law among others. An open minded approach, and ability to handle complex issues will be expected of the associate.
Joining Date: September 1st, 2021
Probation Period: 6 months from the date of joining
Location: Bangalore – Work From Home will be permitted during lock down and COVID restrictions.
Education: LLM in IP; and/or LLB
Experience: 2 to 3 Years
Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Well-versed with Patent Law, Contract Law, Intellectual Property Law and Technology Law
- Ability to understand technology
- Capability to collaborate and work online
