Release of IPR newsletter, June -August 2023.

The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM) has released an IPR newsletter covering the months of June to August 2023. The newsletter includes the highlights of the WIPO General Assembly 2023, the details of Rashtriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav, and the reports on the observation of Yoga Day, Independence Day, and Medical Day across various regional IP offices. It also features several informative articles by scholars.

Launch of WIPO IP Diagnostic – Indian Adaptation.

The Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM) launched ‘WIPO IP Diagnostic- Indian Adaptation’, which is a software-based tool that enables small businesses to undertake self-assessment of their intellectual property aspects. The tool has been designed to generate reports by answering specific questions related to Intellectual Property Rights. It aims to help stakeholders to understand their intellectual property rights, commercialize their IP, protect and enforce their IP globally, and identify relevant IP in a business context. Further, the reports generated by the tool are helpful in making informed decisions related to IP management and protection.

Extended! Last Date for Submission of Online Application Form for Patent Agent & Trademark Agent Examination-2024

The Office of CGPDTM (Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trademarks) issued a Public Notice No. CGPDTM-14020/10/2021-OFFICE/ 100, regarding the Online Application Form for Patent & Trademark Agent Examination. The CGPDTM has decided to extend the window until 23rd October 2023 (05:30 PM), Monday.
