cgpdtmimgThe office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM) has been constantly working towards bringing in transparency and efficiency into the IP conveyance procedures in India and has implemented a number of reforms over the years. The latest addition to this chain of laudable measures is the online public search facility for searching and accessing of registered Geographical Indications (GI) applications and related documents online.

Digitised files of all registered GI applications are now available on the e-Register maintained by the Registry of Geographical Indications. The facility also allows applicants to check their applications status online. The office of the CGDPDTM, through a notification dated 14th February 2013, has also invited suggestions from the public for the further improvements of the facility.

Team SiNApSE is happy with the development and congratulates the office of CGPDTM for the good work.
