Ms. Kalamadi used various industry examples, cases, multi-media  to give insights into various facets of Contracts in the Entertainment Industry. The presentation also elaborates on different types of agreements, such as artist agreements, authors agreements (music composers, lyricists, script writers, story writers, dialogue writers etc), terms of an artist/authors agreement . Further, it also talks about in film branding or endorsements. It then goes on to deal with licensing, terms of a licensing agreement, types of licenses etc.

 

About Sharada Kalamadi

 

Ms. Sharada Kalamadi is a deputy partner at BananaIP Counsels where she heads the entertainment law practice of the firm. She has considerable experience of working with India’s largest film studios and music record labels. Ms. Kalamadi holds a Masters in Intellectual Property Law and Technology law with specialization in Entertainment Law from National University of Singapore.
